Welcome to the website of Portland Lodge #55.  Our Lodge has a stated meeting on the first Thursday of each month, September through June of each year.  We meet in the Blue Lodge Room of the Scottish Rite Center in beautiful downtown Portland.  If you're interested in a visit, please click on the 'Contact Us' link to the left and let our Secretary know you're coming.  We'd love to see you!

PLEASE NOTE:   Our next Stated Communication will be on December 5, at 7 pm. Refreshments will start at 6 pm. Details will be available later this week.

Announcements

  • Entered Apprentice Degree This coming Thursday, November 21, 2019, Portland Lodge No. 55 will be conferring the Entered Apprentice Degree upon Mr. Christopher Prosser.  The degree will commence at 7:00 pm sharp.  Afterwards, in usual fashion, the Brethren will retire to Gilda’s for continued fellowship and libations.  Please come out and assist us in bringing Mr. Prosser to see the Light by which Entered Apprentices work!

  • Visit by our District Deputy This coming Thursday, April 4, 2019, Stated Meeting.  So far on the agenda:  Receive or District Deputy, RWB Tom Binkerd, District #4 Fellow Craft Proficiency from Bro. Stan Atkin Life Membership Presentation Call for vote – NPD members. ;-(  There will be several items to discuss and vote on as well.  Please mark your calendars and come out to support RWB Binkerd and Bro.   • Fellow Craft Degree On January 31 at 7:00 pm Portland Lodge #55 will confer the Fellow Craft Degree for our Brother EA Stan Atkin at the Scottish Rite Center Blue Lodge room. Please join us to make this a special event for our Brother. There will be refreshment's after Lodge at Gilda's.

  • Entered Apprentice Degree The 3rd Thursday of this month, October 18th, Portland Lodge No. 55 will be conferring the Entered Apprentice Degree upon Mr. Stan Atkin, a petitioner for the degrees of Masonry in our lodge.  The degree will start at 7:00 pm sharp with refreshments at Gilda’s afterwards.  All Entered Apprentice’s from our lodge are welcome as well as from other lodges if they have a Master Mason from their lodge who can vouch for them in attendance.
